“The Invisible Woman” (2013) is a splendid and heartbreaking story about Charles Dickens and his secret love affair with a young woman near the end of his life. Directed by Ralph Fiennes who stars as the great author in a powerful role. Felicity Jones as the other woman is a revelation and gives a beautiful performance full of pathos and passion.

Dickens was married at the time they met when she was only 18 and he 45 and the father of 10. Their love affair lasted over a decade until he passed away at age 58. She went on to marry and have a family but her relationship remained a hidden ugly rumor until now.
