New Mitsubishi Commercial

Posted on June 15, 2001September 26, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on New Mitsubishi Commercial

I don’t like commercials in general, but every once in awhile a great one shows up.
I saw the new commercial from Mitsubishi for their Gallant and for some reason it makes me smile. I really love the music they use in the spot too. I’ve been trying to find out what song it is and who does it, and I believe it’s called “Ooh La La” and was originally done by The Faces, a band that Rod Stewart was in before he went solo. I found the original version of it on Napster, but I want the modern techno version used in the new commercial. Oh well, I will keep searching. The best part of the song are the lyrics… “I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger.”
Also, I am man enough to admit that I get touched and misty eyed sometimes when I see one of those heartwarming commercials. One of the best ones I’ve ever seen was the one from JC Penny where you see a woman telling her husband that it’s time and you see him running around the house like crazy looking for his keys and then you see them arriving at what appears to be a hospital at first, making you think the woman was about to have a baby, but it turned out that they have gone to the airport to meet their newly adopted baby girl! It was beautiful. Proving you don’t have to give birth to become a parent. It was wonderful.
