The Church of Bono?

Posted on March 7, 2009October 22, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on The Church of Bono?

I went to church one Sunday morning and was feeling groggy from staying up too late as usual on Saturday night and then they dimmed the lights and played this video really really loud and soon I was fully awake and excited to be alive.

Here’s the full version of this amazing live performance

I’ve always been a tremendous fan of U2 ever since they first burst on the scene and I’ve enjoyed their incredible longevity and success. I always knew there was a spiritual subtext behind some of their songs but I never thought I’d see the day when I’d experience a U2 concert at church! I hear this kind of thing happens a lot all over the world with U2. I think it’s brilliant. It means attracting more young people to church which is only a good thing.

Have seen something like this at your church? Have you ever seen music videos or scenes from TV shows or movies (which I’ve seen a lot of too)?

Note: This video was slightly different because this church changed the text to promote their church but it was the same exact footage my church used.
