Great Player and Even Greater Human Being

Posted on March 7, 2009October 23, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on Great Player and Even Greater Human Being

I was sharing my frustration today on twitter about our local basketball team the Atlanta Hawks who decided not to select Chris Paul when they had the chance and then my friend Robert (@RobertHoliday) shared the following video with me. It showed that not only was Chris Paul a great basketball player but an even greater human being.

Chris scored 61 points in a game in honor of his grandfather who was killed at the age of 61. Paul had to miss his last free throw in order to remain at 61 which made it all the more special. Fortunately, Chris’ grandfather did get to witness his signing with his Wake Forest alma mater and even wore his same cap at the signing.

Here’s the video that started all this. Chris Paul passing the ball between a former Hawk’s legs.
