David and Goliath

Posted on June 7, 2001September 25, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on David and Goliath

Even if you’re not a sports fan, you have got to appreciate the effort given by Allen Iverson and his teammates on the Philadelphia 76ers last night. Here is a team that just about everyone predicted would get crushed in four straight games by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA basketball finals, but what did they do? The little guy (only 6 foot tall) scores 48 points and the underdog 76ers win in overtime 107-101 at Los Angeles no less! Now, they might still get crushed the rest of the way and lose the title, but the point has been made. David can still slay Goliath! I love rooting for the underdog and this is a great story, no matter how it ends.
