Virtual Friends

Posted on March 17, 2003September 27, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on Virtual Friends

Here’s the question of the day: “Can you consider someone a true friend even if you’ve never met in person?”

I ask this because I do consider some of my online buddies to be some of the best friends that I’ve ever had and I’ve never met some of them in person! How can this be?
Is it possible? I mean, being a good friend does not involve physical touch and good deeds do not have to be done in person. Thus, it does appear to be possible to develop strong friendships over the Internet. However, how long can this type of relationship last? Does the old saying apply here…”out of sight, out of mind?”

Anyway, all I know is that I cannot imagine life (real or virtual) without these very special friends.
