I just saw an excellent movie called ?Pay It Forward?
and its central theme was the concept of trying to
change the world by doing something ?big? for three
people, even total strangers, and when they ask what
they can do to return the favor, you tell them not to
pay it back, but to pay it forward by doing a favor
for three other people and tell them to do the same
thing when they ask what they could do to pay it back.
It will spread like wildfire and before you know it,
three people become nine and nine becomes 27 and so on
and so on!
I guess it is like a chain letter, only much better
and actually useful! It would be a chain of love that
could have everlasting ripple effects on the ocean of
humanity. It would at the very least cause a few waves
anyway.
So, my friend, try to do something big for at least
three people you encounter during your brief sojourn
on this planet and when they ask to pay it back, just
tell them to pay it forward instead. Who knows, that
old saying could turn out to be true: what goes
around, comes around.
