I heard this song today for the first time from OneRepublic called “Life in Color” during Apple’s live event. I’ve always loved this band so it wasn’t any surprise that this was so good.
Apple has always used fantastic music such as ColdPlay which is another favorite artist of mine.
This song is extra special because of the lyrics. Too often life is gray and monochrome so we need to do our best to wake up and add some color and excitement to it while we can.
It all goes by in a blur so we have to give it our all as often as we can. I know it’s hard because no matter how much I believe this, I still catch myself slipping back into routine and habit like everyone else. It’s as if we are programmed to become monotonous robots that do the same thing over and over again. While we can’t escape all of the many daily routines, we can always add spice and variety to our life by simply changing something every day, even the smallest of things like going out of your way to say hello to someone you’ve never spoken to before or smiling before you’ve had your coffee (yeah, that’s a tough one!).
For me, movies and music are the best ways for me to brighten up my world. Every once in a while a song like this one comes along and splashes a rainbow of colors to my life. So I want to share it with you right now.
