I saw Shrek last night after going to one of my favorite restaurants, Romano’s Macaroni Grill with my best friend John who is getting married next month. I tell you, SHREK was an excellent movie experience! It is funny from the first frame and credits until the very end! Mike Meyers was awesome and so was Eddie Murphy as the Jack Ass. The story and performances were solid and the computer animation was unbelievably real! Blew away Toy Story! The human characters were very realistic. I believe we are moving ever closer to the day when we will be able to replace human actors with artificial ones or mixed them together and not even know it. We will be able to make new movies with some of the great actors from the past who have passed away. How about a sequel to Gone with the Wind? Ok, how about a good one? I know they did one on TV recently..but one with a virtual Vivian Leah and Clark Gable?
Anyway, if you want to laugh your buttocks off, then go see SHREK. The music soundtrack rocked too! Starts off with ALL STAR and ends with another SMASH MOUTH tune…a remake of the Monkey’s “I’m a Believer”! Great stuff!
