I only recently heard “Second Chance” by Shinedown and I was blown away by it. I love the singer’s powerful voice and the song’s message that sometimes the best way to get a second chance in life is to say goodbye to those people, places or things that have been holding you back. It’s a painful decision to make but sometimes it’s the best thing you can ever do.
I think this has touched me personally because I went through this painful experience many years ago when I decided to severe my ties to New Jersey where I grew up and start a fresh new life in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve never looked back with regret and know in my heart it saved my life and has lead to all of the wonderful things I’m experiencing in my life today.
