Here is a perfect example of why you should never ever give up, whether while playing sports or just in life itself. I witnessed something last night that has not happened in 75 years (since 1925!). I watched the Cleveland Indians come back from a 12 run deficit! They trailed 12-0 and 14-2 as late as the 7th inning to the Seattle Mariners, who are having one of the best seasons in baseball history (their record before this game was 80-30, which is 4th best of all-time at this stage)! Cleveland scored 3 runs in the 7th, 4 in the 8th and then 5 in the 9th after two were out! I stayed up until past midnight to see if these guys could complete an unbelievable feat which they did in the bottom of the 11th inning, winning the game 15-14!
I kept thinking about all of those fans that left the ballpark early when their team was behind 12 runs and how they were kicking themselves in the car while listening to the greatest comeback in baseball history. It just proves that it truly is not over until it is over. You should never say die and never surrender. Fight until the very end, my friend. Don’t look at the mountain top when you’re climbing, just at your next step. Before you know it, you will summit! You will reach the top and achieve your goal if you keep on going. If you don’t for some reason, then you will still feel satisfied knowing that you gave it your all and your very best effort.
