Switchfoot does a great job with “This is Home”. It makes me think of that old saying “You can’t go home again”. I’ve grown to understand that saying more with time. We can always physically travel back to the place where we grew up, but we can’t ever really go back to that time and place.
This song always seems perfect for those that leave the comfort of their home to leave their mark in the world. I know it’s something my children will have to do someday so it touches me deeply as I visualize that day that’ll come all too soon.
