The Renaissance Festival

Posted on June 4, 2001September 28, 2015 By Doriano No Comments on The Renaissance Festival

I went to the annual Renaissance Festival here in Georgia yesterday and as always it was a wonderful experience. There is just something special about that time period for me. I don’t know quite what it is, but I just love that era. I feel at home and all my senses enjoy it. Visually, everything is pleasing… the way men and women dressed, especially the ladies…heh heh. The way people spoke too. I love the whole notion of men being knights and women being fair damsels, princesses and maidens. I enjoy the whole notion of quests and slaying dragons too. The music was also wonderful, as minstrels played their tunes at every turn. It was funny watching so many people eating great big juicy turkey legs while dressed up in renaissance garb. Especially pleasing were some of the shows performed on the many stages all around the festival.
It was a magical experience that I wish all my friends could have attened with me.
I kept thinking that it would be a wonderful idea to some day arrange for a group gathering of all my friends to meet at the reniassance festival. I might even dress up in a knight’s outfit.
